i was watching Pani Poni Dash and this character kept saying 'maho' over and over and i dont know what it means, no translator has been able to help me. any ideas?
Although old and resolved, I couldn't help pointing out that Himeko's ahoge has the appearance of a full sail and the spelling of maho (Full Sail) versus mahou (Magic). Because it's written in Katakana, who knows. Just think of her ahoge going swishy swooshy when she goes "maho, maho". (^_^)v
I haven't seen it, but the above poster is right, it's probably mahou. It's got a slightly longer sound on the end than maho would. I suppose you could also romanize it to 'mahoh' to get a similar pronunciation in English.
魔法 【まほう】 (n) magic; witchcraft; sorcery
Using Jim Breen's, putting in 'maho' just in case, brought that (mahou) up as the second word. Didn't think it was "full sail" (maho).
