Resolved Question

Show me another »

"Allahu A'lam" or "Allahu Alim"?

which is more appropriate to sign off w/ when replying to something islamic related

is it okay to say "Allahu Alim" b/c I'm forfeiting any knowledge I have gained b/c of Allah(swt)...it's not my own to claim?
like
I've said something, but only Allah(swt) is All-Knowing (Allahu Alim)

but when you say "Allahu A'lam"...you use the comparative tone, which grammatically makes sense:
I've said something, but only Allah(swt) knows better
but spiritually, there is no comparison "better" is kind of silly to state...b/c Allah(swt) knows best, knows all

and does "Allahu A'alam Bis Sawaab" mean "Allah knows better and is right"?

idk...someone please explain?! >.<;

Allahu alaam means "allah knows best"
al Alim is the name of Allah "the all knowing"

The root word for both is "ilm" which means knowledge.
