What is a good alternative to french fries?

I really like french fries. But I know they are not that good for me. So I was wondering if there is a healthy french fry like food. If so can you provide the recipe?

Sweet potatoe fries.
They taste great, and similar to french fries, but are a tad sweeter.
The're much less in sodium and have healthy nutritional benefits.
I would look for the recipe on 'kraft.com' or on google "Healthy sweet potatoe fries".
Potatoe fries can be healthy to thoe.
Just watch the ammount of salt you put on them.. try adding spices like pepper, ms. dash, oregeno etc... they have less soduim intake in them.
Also, instead of frieing potatoes, slice them into any sort of wedge of strips and lightly drizzle some extra virgin olive oil on them, and 'bake' them.

Moderational food can be made healthy. You just have to find out what to execute from it, and add instead.

Best of Luck!

Try cutting up potatoes in even slices, use a mister with olive oil (you can get a non- aerosol pump sprayer for oils at a home goods store), or use a pastry brush to LIGHTLY brush on some olive oil, top and bottom of the potato slices. Spice them with garlic, red pepper, rosemary, take your pick of spice. Then bake them at about 350 degrees for about 15 minutes, then flip them all over, and bake them for about 10 more minutes- they might need more or less time, based how thick or thin the slices are. Just look at them every couple of minutes. They taste delicious, and aren't nearly as bad as deep fried potatoes.

Oven french fries are better then fried ones.
They are not too fattening either.
I would say go for oven chips.. i mean fries, sorry i am from the UK so we call them chips. :-)
