What's the different between "Courage" and "Brave"?

Courageous is the person who goes ahead knowing there is real risk to themselves after being able to assess the risk. A good example would be a Bomb Disposal Officer.

Brave is the person who goes ahead without giving thought to the risk. An example would be the person who dives into a cold river to save a drowning child.

The difference between bravery and stupidity can be very narrow. not the case with courage.

Courage is a noun, brave is an adjective. Courage = bravery. Courageous = brave.

Courage is a build up when in the moment. Brave is reactive already there.

The difference between courage and bravery:
1.) Bravery - The ability to put into action a sense of gallantry/ courage, whether the subject is hesitant, scared, or unmoved by the task at hand.

2.)Courage - Not being scared or hesitant when one should be; acting against one's fears when needed.
