How do I end a tube scarf as an actual scarf on the Knifty Knitter Circular Loom?

Question

I was thinking about it, and I don't think there's a way to end it off the right way unless I do they way that the book that came with it said to. But that basically says to bunch all of the ends up and close it! T____T I was hoping to have a tube scarf so it could double as a hand warmer.

Ps: Does Brown and Black sound Mascuiline? I thought so, just wanted to get some more opinions.

Am I right in that you want to leave the ends open so a person could put their hand in between the two layers? If you want the ends closed, I would still end the same way, but use fringe to close the ends. This shows how to fringe a scarf, but instead of going through one stitch you would lay your scarf flat and go through both thicknesses. http://crochet.about.com/od/clothingforw…
