Cutty Sark ,Restoration?
In view of the Cutty Sark being Burned some time ago now,are they ever going to try and Rebuild it again, It seems a Terrible Waste. I would have loved to have seen this Ship but never got round to it. I was in London Years ago now in 1984-5 on a Visit to Britain for a Wedding of a Cousin in Swindon and stayed in London for Four Days but never actually got to see the Cutty Sark. So I was very Sad when the Ship went on Fire. So my Question is are they going to Rebuild it from the Plans they have at some Future time . Curious Thank you.
Additional Details
Thanks Cyber Com, I will keep this going for awhile, for a Day or so.

Redbeard, That is great News at least it is not being put on the Long Finger in spite of the Recession. I shall certainly pay a Visit when next I am in the UK.

Apparently the Cutty Sark will be rebuilt and open to visitors again in Spring 2010.
Try to visit Portsmouth sometime to visit the historic ships there, especially the HMS Victory and the Mary Rose. I think the eventual plan is to put the Mary Rose on display once the preservation process is done.

- Thanks for that News,I can rest easy now in the knowledge that I can see this great Ship in Spring 2010. I once made an Airfix Model of this Ship as a Child and was hoping to see the Real thing eventually and also Victory.

The fortunate thing is that when it caught fire it was being restored. A great deal of the original timbers had been removed for maintenance, so all is not lost. They have more than 65% of original undamaged timber to play with, so it looks good for a complete rebuild.
