Has anyone ever seen a Sonic?

Question

I've been seeing tons of commercials for Sonic (the 7-11 type place) for about 5 years, but I've never actually ever seen one. Where are they? I live on the west coast around, San Francisco, but I travel a lot and have still never seen one.

Alrite my bad. I don't know what a Sonic is because I've never seen one and neither has anybody I know!

And yea we got In N Out which is the best fast food burger in the nation

i'm from Mississippi we have had a Sonic in my home town all my life. I remember my mother taking me there when i was a little kid and i'm 36 years old now. So it seems funny me all the people that never been to a Sonic.It's just hamburger place,no big deal,they do have good burgers and shakes though. Sonic is based in Oklahoma.
I keep hearing i lot about In and Out hamburgers on Yahoo Answers i never been to one of those places,i hear they are big in California.

Yes In-N-Out is the best, but they are known for being a California place. I don't understand why Sonic advertises on National TV but is only in part of the country. And I checked, the closest Sonic to my house is over 3 hours away.

Yes, I am in California, and according to their website Sonic does have restaurant drive-in locations in California. I live near the Oregon Boarder, and I have been to Sonic in Medford and Grants Pass Oregon several times. I agree that N OUt is the best, but Sonic is the second best.

You drive up to a parking spot and you order like you would at a drive through, but a server brings you your food out to your car while on roller skates. You eat in your car. You can sit down and eat at tables outside, but there is no indoor area for customers. You can also go through the drive through. The food is quite good, especially the union rings, and I would recommend it to anyone to try at least once. It kind of reminds me of a mix of a fast food place and a old drive in/dinner.

I am telling you they are a myth!!! I see commercials everyday but i have yet to see one. I also travel all over the east coast for my job. I remodel petsmarts and i drive everywhere but have not seen a sonic only the commercials. I know the answer probably wasn't what you were looking for but i am feeling the same way you are.

It's nothing like 7-11.

7-11 is convenience store/gas station. Sonic is a fast food drive-in. You park in one of the many spots, and press a button to order your food. A few minutes later, somebody comes outside and hands you your food.

I'm in Colorado. They're all over the place here. At least you have In and Out burgers in California! We don't have those.

it's one of my favorite fast food places. it's only in the warmer southern midcoast regions of the country. the food is delicious. the drinks are yummy, the service is great. it has a retro atmosphere. you can get alot for your moneys worth.

Yes, I sure have. It's Fast Food with Drive-In service. There is one several communities south of my location. We're getting a Sonic built now in the city just north of here. It's scheduled to open in Jan/Feb 2009.

Theyre not like 7-11. They are a drive in resturant. they also have seating outside.
But theyre around the midwest, and theyre starting to expand up to the north east and they have them in the south too i think.

They are all over the midwest and the south. Florida, Colorado, Missouri and places like that are SWARMING with Sonic. I LOVE sonic <3

Sonic is a carhop style fast food place. They are all over Texas, but I don't know about California.
