Well, since you don't like to read, you could always go with a short book like The Awakening by Kate Chopin. It's considered a "novella." It's close to 100 pages long. The Old Man and the Sea is short, but terrible. Don't read it. The Great Gatsby is absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend it. Summer of My German Soldier is a really easy read, and an enjoyable story. I think I read it in 7th grade.

    Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
    Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
    Catch 22 by Joseph Heller
The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. LeGuin
The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane
The Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett

I think these sound interesting, I might even look into them now...

Hurston, Zora Neale - Their Eyes Were Watching God

Huxley, Aldous - Brave New World

    Hawthrone, Nathaniel - Scarlet Letter

    Bronte, Emily - Wuthering Heights

HAHA!!! Alice in Wonderland? Wow! lol!

    Hope that helps!!! :)

The Chocolate War and Fahrenheit 451 would both be good books for someone who doesn't like reading. The Awakening is really short, but you'd probably find it tedious to get through.

Well I am a high schooler and I have read many of those books so here are my suggestions:

Austen, Jane-- Pride and Prejudice -- Absolutely loved reading this book and it is a must read on my list. But, it can be difficult for some people to get into , so just push through and you won't be ddisappointed

Cisneros , Sandra-- house on mango street-- I had to read this book for school earlier this year and it wasn't my favorite but if you are looking for a quick easy read this would be the book for you.

Hemmingway, Ernest-- Old Man and the Sea-- This book again is a quick and easy read but the story is really good and even though it is a tiny book it has strong themes. This would be better if you are more adventure oriented.

Bradbury, Ray-- Farenheit 451-- Another good read with awesome themes but again, it can be hard to get into.

    Well I hope that helped

    Happy Reading!!!

I'd go with "Lord of the Flies"

No one at my High School likes reading, but when we read that book everyone was interested. We read a couple of the others on that list as well, but none of them quite kept my classmates interest as much as "Lord of the Flies"

Also, there are two movie versions to clarify things...If you don't like reading I'd definitely choose one with a movie version. The Lord of the Flies movies aren't great, but they follow the book pretty well. The Great Gatsby is an awesome movie, but none of my peers really liked the book, although it is short.

My personal favourite on that list is "Fahrenheit 451" but since you don't like books the story won't be that upsetting to you (it's about burning books after all)
