I read it for my gothic lit class. her writing is very sexual which isn't always a bad thing but after a while it's kinda like " okay Angela I get the point lets move on."
I thought it interesting how the mother saves her daughter in the end unlike Blue beard where the brother's save her.
It was a lot like Blue beard ( which it's supposed to be) but I think the time period the story is set should have been played up more. After all it's supposed to be a retelling of the classic fairy tale.

- Since I haven't read the original Blue beard, I hadn't picked up on the female saviour role-swap thing in the bloody Chamber, so thanks for that (: have you read the rest of the collection? some of them are pretty good.
