Any book suggestions for my (high school) senior thesis?

Question

For my high school English course, we are required to write a 8-10 page senior thesis on a book: basically an extended analytical essay. I am a fairly strong writer, and am looking for books (or epic poems!) of some magnitude.

Books I am considering include:

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz
White Teeth by Zadie Smith
The Faerie Queen by Edmund Spenser

Hopefully, you can see what sort of books I am looking for. If you have any suggestions, or merely want to advocate for any of the above books, feel free. Thanks.

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is a great book. About the government controlling the media, burning books. Very big brother, 1984. Not the type of thing I'm usually into but like I said it's an excellent book.
