Why do some people who are wearing flip flops to an Auto Show take them off i?

I had previously work in the LA Auto Show detailing the cars and one thing I notice many people who where wearing flip flops took them off and got barefooted many where pedal pumping the cars when they enter and sat down on the autos that where in exhibit especially the sport cars and expensive cars is this annoying for people to do or is it just me feeling like this.

Yes it is annoying and it is rude. I think that shows the lack of respect for other's property. It also shows how poorly they were trained in the home. If you are going to wear flip flops you should have the decency to wear them and not offend other people. I'm not against wearing flip flops, but they should know that it is rude to take your shoes off in a public place such as a car show. They aren't at home, and they shouldn't treat such a place like that. It is an environment where everyone is there. Its just like taking off your shirt in a public place such as a bank. You just don't do it. They need to show more respect.

because it could get stuck under the accelerator, even though there not driving, i guess it could still be a problem, and i guess just in case

driving in flip flops is dangerous, your flip flop could get stuck under the accelerator and cause an accident.
