How does it compare to Johnnie Walker Black?

Never developed the palate for Scotch. Might I recommend a nice Maker's Mark bourbon this holiday season?

LOL..I am a bourbon fan! I asked this question in hopes of learning about an inexpensive yet palatable brand of Scotch. But I agree with you, American bourbon is and under-rated gem.

Johnnie Walker Black is better. Cutty is a very "light" blend. I prefer single malts as they each have a distinctive flavor.

I drink only beer, I don't like alcohol. It gets me drunk to quick.

They are both blended. I prefer single malt.

When I was a student and frequently low on cash, I drank Tullamore Dew. It is a blended Irish with more character than both Cutty and Johnnie.

Cutty Sark is blended with Single malt Whiskey with one or more Single grain whiskeys. It is the first light colored whiskey in the world. Johnnie Walker Black is a blend of malt, and more with creamy vanilla. They are much better than Brandy. Brandy have 36% - 60% alcohol.
