What do you think of people that wear bike helmets and elbow and knee pads when they are riding a bicycle ?
do you do this or know people who do??
what do you think of this or why do you do this?
Thanks for your answers!

I think they're a little to careful. I used to do that when I was little, but only because mom made me.

They sound like smart people to me!.
They wear gear that makes them feel safer
In many places now, wearing helmets is the law!

Smart, health and safety conscious
I wear a helmet. I ride mostly in traffic and have been hit by a car before, it is not fun.

a helmet is wise if you are competing or doing stunts if you aren't competing it is lame
i have done a front flip (once) and that was on an emergency stop and just got up and kept going so it won't be bad
so all of the others that gave answers are lame they sit at their computers too much!!!!

Sensible. Bicycle accidents can be just as nasty as any other accident.

Overdoing it a bit . After all we as kids and young adults cycled hundreds of miles with no protection at all , Bike helmets weren't invented then I think We never ran into any problems

I think people who wear helmets and pads are VERY smart. I make my son wear his when he rides his bike and he is 13 yrs. old.. Think safety first..........

Where I live it's the law that you must wear a helmet. I wish that law was in effect when my son had a bicycle accident 20 years ago. He had two craniotomies to try to repair the damage done to his scull. His life was never the same. Fall off a bike just once and you'll know why some people wear protective gear. It can cause damage that can last a lifetime and hurts like the dickens.

Sensible, if they are doing extreme stunts.

I think knee pads and elbow pads are a bit overkill (unless they are riding on ramps or something), however those that wear helmets are smart enough to realise it will often be difference between life or death, or ending up in a coma or not.

Think they value safety over fashion.
