What did you think of sparkly Edward in movie Twilight?

I personally thought the way they made Edward sparkle looked cheesy and cheap. I was expecting something more spectacular and eye popping. What was your take?

it was lame.

he should have been like sparkling but hardly there....almost invisible in a way.

he just looked like he has that glitter make up all over his body.

not how the book describes him sparkling at all! Bella didn't even care either! She just goes "Its like diamonds!" She is suppose too care!!!!

I thought he would look liek a monster when the light hit him or start to smoke, becaus ethats what normal vampires do when the light hits them they start to catch on fire, I thought maybe edward would look demonic int he sunlight, but nope he looked all sparkily which being an ex-mormon confirms why I left the LDS churhc in the first place, becaus emormons say that evil is OK if you can find an excuse to be evil, if it looks good then do it, the apple looked good, I guess thats why eve gave in to the snake and ate it, well in the mormon theology/mythology, they had to disobey god and obey the snake or they would not progress and become gods, an excuse for evil.
sorry for dissing mormons but you get my point.

I compeletely agree with you.
When he was like 'this is who i am,' i couldnt even tell anything was different. then when they close uped on him abs (yum) i was like...ohhh. but i could barly see it. i though he was gonna be bursting with rays of light.
but edward being sooo freaking beautiful made up for this defect of the movie..

I agree. If I saw a dude sparkling like that in real life, I wouldn't think it was weird. It would look like perspiration, maybe a tad gross. But it wouldn't be eye-popping. It was supposed to be though. When he sparkles so dimly and cheaply, he could easily go out in the daylight.

he looked sweaty. With dim sparkles like that no one would care to see him outside in the sun every once in a while. Maybe EVERYTIME people would get suspicious, but nothing to have the Volturi jump on him for in New Moon. Eh...

I agree that was the low for the movie for me. it pretty muched looked like he was sweating glitter. i was very disappointed
