The catcher in the rye essay?

I am doing a essay on the poem called Novel by Arthur Rimbaud and the book "The catcher in the rye" . Does anyone know how to connect these two or is there any similarity between these two?

well through out the book catcher in the rye holden talks about how everyone is really phony and fake. especially when people do bad things.
he gets angry when people do bad things to kids too like when he finds the word **** in the elementary bathroom.
he imagines that he could be the catcher in the rye from the poem pulling people back from the edge of the cliff.
