On 24.10.2008 i got an sms on my mobile that

"this mobile no. has won 450,000 pounds in sonyericsson cash promo contest please call to +44.......... phone no. to claim & mail ur full details to [e-mail]"

though the message came from [phone] but then after i did all that which the mssg. said then i got a mail ie

This is a scam. You can find many scams identical to this one but with a different company name all over the internet.
Don't respond to this scam. Any reply will only get you more and more scams as they will see you as gullible and easily conned.
They're asking for far too much personal information. Everything they're asking for is just to gain enough information to steal your identity.
Whatever you do, DO NOT send them copies of your passport or drivers license or give them your date of birth. This would only lead to ID theft and the start of a long list of troubles.
