Is it any coincidence that Israel broke the truce on Election Eve?

The Gaza truce is over, but at least we know who broke it. An attack near Khan Younis killed five people, following which the de facto government fired eight mortor shells at an Israeli miltiary outpost. All this on election night in the US. Strange how prescient journalists can be - it's been predicted for weeks that the zionists would undertake a major operation against Gaza asap after the election. But couldn't they at least have waited until it was officially over?

No. I'm a little taken aback that they would rush into the business of breaking it so quickly but commentators like Benny Morris have been saying for months that the period between the U.S. election and the new administration was viewed in land 'o zion as a "window of opportunity" for all kinds of excitement. Invading Gaza, bombing Iran, etc. Expect things things to get a lot worse before they start getting any better and that's assuming these fanatics don't use nuclear weapons on Iran. Anything can happen between now and Jan. 20th. In any event,at least it is clear who broke the truce.

Details off Ma'an news: Five victims, four killed after the usual cowardly fashion by a drone, another attack in central Gaza, four civilians injured including a young woman, also a police officer killed. Tank intrusion in the north.

Incredible: "An Israeli military spokesperson said the Israeli incursion was intended to protect ( the) ceasefire".

Protect? Now even by the standards of old Stalinist-style propaganda that's pretty crude stuff. These people are utterly shameless.
Victims: Mazin Sa'da
Mu'awiya Hassanein
Omar al-Alami
Muhammed Aawd
Wajdi Muharib

Inshallah,justice will be done.

These were all such good answers I had to just pick the one with the most hands-up. Plus,he was kind enough to actually list the victims. This reminds us that these are real people dying, not just numbers on a chart. Thank you Zeno, and everyone else too. Pray for Gaza.
