Well, Islam is spread by peace.
Though there is war with the Byzantine empires and Persian, but it is the Byzantine and Persian wage war. The first war with Byzantine happened in Mu'tah. A small city in Arab.

Your teacher just gave you these questions and gave you no reading material at all from which to answer them? No lecture, no nothing?
