Do you have any tips for having a good interview?

Additional Details

Also, is it better to look conservative but plain/ugly as in little make-up, professional clothes and hair tied in bun, or do good looks make a better impression - wearing contacts, leaving my long hair loose, wearing a lot of make-up (makes a big difference on how good I look) and dressing trendy. Do they want to hire a 'cool' person who looks good or would they prefer ugly/professional?

When you are applying for a new job it is always a good idea to get information on the company that you are applying to. It is important that when you go in for the interview that you sound like you are knowledgeable about the company. It is also important to go over what you want to say in an interview because you want to be prepared. The amount of time you spend getting ready for the interview can mean the difference in getting the job or not.

They'd prefer a good-looking professional. A little bit of each. Put on a nice amount of makeup, but no sparkle purple eyeshadow, lol. There are plenty of trendy professional clothes, too. The hair is up to you. However it looks best, so I'd probably wear it down. And my guess is that they'd hire a cool person if you act really responsible and polite.

Remember a good career starts with the good resume. Resume is the only tool which makes first impression on employers about you. It’s most important to get your resume rightly written.

check this site www.mintmyjob.com its a new web 2.0 enabled job site, you can find tips/helps on all issues there. the best part is you can build your resume rather than uploading(like regular sites). so all of the appropriate details needed will be there.
