They are just like everyone else. Some ethical. Some not.

Ethics seem to be disappearing from our culture, look at all these people trying to phuck the banks by refusing to repay their loans. That is about as unethical as it gets without being locked up.

Make sure your real estate agent has a long and stable reputation, the "crooks" tend to get weeded out.

you need to ask, why is this particular person, [whomever it may be] a crook and not all realtors.

what did he/she do to harm you? I will guide you.

I take offense to that - my brother is a realtor and he's far from a crook. Yes, there are always bad apples in any profession, but there's more good apples than bad.

They're people, same as the rest of us and some are rotten ones in the barrel, but unfair to tar all with the same brush. Of course they are always interested in getting sale closed, no matter what, no matter how low the seller has to go, because they then get paid, and otherwise get nothing.

I found most realtors are decent despite the fact that the greed before integrity by misrepresenting a little just to make a sale. I, however, heard unethical realtors. Just like in any industry, there are good people and bad people.

It's up to us to evaluate and know how to deal with all kinds of people.

As Michael Jackson sang, many years ago when he was still Black: "One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch ....."

    We're not all crooks.

Realtors are people. Most are ethical. Some are not.

If you have had a bad experience, contact the agent's broker.

Of course, you could ask the same question and substitute any other general term for REALTORS. Obviously you must have had a bad experience. Was it with more than one REALTOR?

Yes, REALTORS do have to subscribe to a code of ethics and take classes to reinforce what is meant by those ethics. Violations of the code of ethics can result in sanctions against members of the National Association of REALTORS.

Any crooks in the real estate profession have, by definition, probably violated state laws and are subject to criminal prosecution, fines and revocation of their licenses. You should contact the director of the real estate commission in your state with your complaints.

The overwhelming majority of all the real estate agents I have known or worked with have been admirable in their honesty. However, in any group or class, there are bad individuals.

LoL, your question makes me laugh because half the time I can't stand realtors!!! However, I do have to say that your statement/question is not fair because not ALL realtors are "bad". Unfortunetly the bad ones give a bad name for all of them.

The bad ones - they normally just care about their commission, you know money is the root of all evil!!
