Burnt B-B-Q Sauce in Crock Pot?

I put b-b-q ribs in my crock pot this morning and made it home later today than expected. The ribs were burned black to a crisp and the sauce is so hard it is like dried cement. What's the best way to get it out, because the way it is right now, my crock pot looks ruined forever!!

Try putting water and a couple of tablespoons of baking soda in it. Plug it in and let it soak for a few hours.

Baking soda worked like a charm! All were great suggestions, but turning it back on with some good ol timey baking soda did the trick like a charm! Thanks!
