Why are oranges given out at soccer games? In other words why are oranges the fruit of choice?

they give out oranges becuase of the vitamin c that gives u energy..they should really give u a banana tho :)

I play soccer, and I've never been given an orange!..lol


Coaches will usually recommend oranges for calcium, but bananas are what most of soccer players eat before or during a game. They are very good for preventing cramps and give you tons of energy!
