Are casual gamers ruining games for the Wii hardcore gamers?

Casual games are too easy and simple and they are so boring and lame
Will Nintendo ever announced anything great for hardcore gamers?
family games sucks and so does casual
At E3 and TGS they did not announced anything for the hardcore gamers.
Where are the new action, shooting, and racing games.
I hate casual games and casual gamers have ruined games for experienced players.
Every year Sony and Microsoft have always announced cool stuff for their gamers while Nintendo does nothing again.
Wii HD would be the greatest thing Nintendo has ever announced but Nintendo only care about sales and putting out crappy games that are a waste of money. Nintendo only care about sales and could care less about their gamers. There are no exciting worth buying this month or the next two months.

Additional Details

The reason Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4, Soul Calibar 4, and every great multi-platform is because of casual gamers and the stupid casual reputation. Wii is a joke. Nintendo Press Conferences are always a waste of time

I totally agree with you, the only system i have is a freakin wii, which does have some good games. I am always jealouse of my friends cuz they've all got ps3s and 360s. The reason why they can't put games like call of duty 4, soul calibur 4, etc on the wii is cuz it's not powerful enough to support all the graphics and gameplay. It would make your wii basically blow up if you played one of those games on it. However, good news there are some hardcore games coming to the wii! yes i know, it's hard to believe but it's true!

007 Quantum of Solace
Also running on COD 4 game engine
Amazing graphics as well
8 player online multiplayer
Release date - 11/04/08
Rated T for violence, blood, language

Call of Duty World at War
Running on the award winning COD4 game engine which we all played and loved
Amazing 360 equivalent graphics on the wii NO WAY!(and i am serious, IGN got to play it and posted an article on it and they said that they actually thought it was the 360 version when they first saw it until they realized they were suppose to be playing with a wii remote and nunchuck)
8 player online multiplayer
Release date - 11/11/08
Rated M for - blood and gore, intense violence, strong language(now that's hard core baby!)
but it does allow you to take off the blood and gore and language in the game options.

And my personal favorite...
The Conduit(most hardcore of all time on wii, were talking like Metroid Prime 3 Corruption hardcore man!)
amazing graphics, due to a completely new built from scratch game engine that cleverly uses the wii's graphics card's pixel shader to it's advantage
whopping 16 player online multiplayer
compatible online voice chat with Wii Speak
Release Date - March of 2009, (still havn't told us the exact day)
Developer still hasn't released it's rating

Yay, at least Treyarch and High Voltage Software care about us malnutritioned, hardcore wii gamers.

    its the wii bro.

the wii sucks, and "hardcore" developers have found that the contol system just doesnt translate well. not only that but the hardware has numerous limits.

its only good for nintendo brand games. and that's it.

No, you've got it all wrong, there...

If it WEREN'T for the "casual" gamers, the Nintendo Wii wouldn't be the number one selling system that it is!!! It's ALL THOSE casual gamers out there that have bought up the Wii (and continue to do so) and made it the most popular system right now. (Yes, the Wii has sold more units than the Xbox360 and the PS3).

And, if the Wii hadn't become SO POPULAR, it wouldn't even be getting the few "hardcore" games that it is getting...

So, really, you could say that the "casual" gamers have not only SAVED the Nintendo Wii, but saved Nintendo as well by giving them a large cash base to develope their next system which will definitely appeal to the more "hardcore" gamer!!

You should be THANKING all those casual gamers for giving the Wii a chance in this marketplace... if there were just "hardcore" gamers out there, the Wii would've never even survived...

Because ALL THOSE "casual" gamers bought the Wii and have made it the highest selling console... all those third-party game companies are actually considering bringing some of those "so-called" hardcore games to the Wii. If it wasn't for the high sales numbers, they wouldn't even bother... so, Like I Said earlier, you should be THANKING all those casual gamers!!

The wii is made for little kids and the other systems like the ps3 and x box 360 were made for the more hardcore players. Im not saying that the wii is bad it’s just that there audience is like ages 5-15 when they aren’t into the hardcore games.

The Wii was made for everyone, not for kids. The more the merrier, no?

The Conduit, although it was already mentioned. That's supposed to be wicked.
Also Monster Hunter Three will be for the Wii, not for the PS3 or the Xbox.
Anyways, the games that aren't hardcore are actually pretty fun. I'm thinking along the lines of Mario Party.
Most developers don't choose the Wii because it can't make good graphics. Graphics whores as usual. xD
I dunno about the controls, the Wii's controls make games more fun actually. If Nintendo only worked on the graphics and power a bit more. Resident Evil 4 was a lot more fun on the Wii than the PS2. And it looked a lot better.

Also, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, is a remake of the Xbox 360 version, and it will be for the Wii. I hope it'll be good, but they say it's kinda hard with the Wii although they're going to try to put as much of the Xbox 360 features. There's also going to be more than one save slot on the Wii Version.

So no, casual gamers are not ruining the Wii, they're just... delaying some of the great hardcore games. The Wii's only been out for almost two years. Give it some time and some of the great game developers will come out. It's just like testing waters before you jump right in, no?
Only a matter of time before they manage to get GTA onto the Wii.

E3 and TGS has had a lot of Wii hardcore game info, like The Conduit, No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle, Fatal Frame 4, Tenchu 4, and Disaster: Day of Crisis.

The thing is that Nintendo tends to only talk about their own games at their press conferences, which Sony and MS rarely talk about their own games. Also, Nintendo rarely talks about any game they are developing more than a few months before its release date, whereas you have situations like Sony hyping Final Fantasy XIII a year and a half ago, and it still doesn't have a solid release date even in Japan, let alone the rest of the world (as well as becoming multiplatform in that time).

Nintendo is making just as many hardcore games as they always have. They just are making more casual games as well and aren't getting hardcore games from third-parties the way Sony and MS have.
