Is there any way to read books online?

I really want to read baron in the trees by italo calvino - is it possible to read it online anywhere?

http://newfreebooks.com for In Copyright e-books that have been released by their own authors. Quite a few treasures there, but I don't know about your title.

http://dailylit.com but they deliver to your email and not every book is available. Right now there's not a place where you can read books online, legally or illegally.

I wish I could read Italo Calvino online too - he is one of my favorite authors. Unfortunately his books are under copyright, so you can't read them legally from a website.

For older books (classics) there are sites which legally have the books for free reading. My favorite one is:

Keep spreading the word (people seem to be ignorant) - yes, books can be read online, and legally - as long as they are classic literature.
