Free tattoo removal for military recruit?

Hey,

I was told that I could get a tattoo taken off, thats holding me back from the marines for free. I researched and found a couple places that do it in TX. Does anyone know if theres a place in Minnesota that does it. Or even TN, I have family there. THANKS

Personally, I wouldn't get it removed just to enlist. Tattoos are a part of who you are and you shouldn't have to change because of some stupid policy. Not all branches are so stuck-up about tattoos so look into all your options. If I had been turned down from enlisting because of my tattoos I would have told the recruiters see ya later.

Any cosmetic surgery site in the twin cities probably does it. The problem will be finding the one the army/ USMC will pay to do it. I wouldn't go looking for one ask the recruiter if that is the only thing that holds you back. If you have other things fix them first like ASVAB scores, PT/ making weight, that kind of stuff.

Contact your local United Way. They have tons of resources. they may be able to locate someone for you. But why don't you just pay to get it off if that's the only thing keeping your from enlisting. Or you might try a different branch of the military that isn't so fussy.
