We can't, because there are other minds to contend with. If we woke up alone, we could possibly assume that reality isn't an illusion, because no matter what, we'd be feeling it. HOWEVER, since you communicate with people every day, you need to remember that when they go away, they are living in a reality that you aren't experiencing.

It is when you realized delusions aren't reality at all.
Then you may perceive reality.
