when you give me the title can you also tellmee what genre it is. for example, murder, mysteries, etc.

mostly dont let it be a long book. like 1000 pgs. i have to read it in a month while reading another book.

thank you very much in advance. :]

Out of the authors you have listed, I recognize Toni Morrison.

I had to read a book by Morrison called
"Beloved"

They made a movie out of the book and is a very moving and emotional book.

It is only 273 pages.
It falls underneath the category of Fiction
It has a mixture of mystery, rape, sexual content, hate, and survival that a black woman went through.

Happy reading.

a Farewell to Arms by Hemingway... definite classic! loved it. about romance and war! I think Amy Tan's only one is The Joy Luck Club but it's an INCREDIBLE read! <3

if you like scary mysteries and murder... Agatha Christie might just become your favorite author ;-)
    After the Funeral
And Then There Were None are two favorites o' mine from her

Margaret Atwood wrote 'Oryx and Crake' which was pretty good, though somewhat twisted. Mary Shelly's 'Frankenstein; a Modern Prometheus' is amazing, one of the top anti-technology books I've read.

For something short, Hemmingway's 'Old Man and the Sea' isn't very long.
