What would be the best video editing software for Youtube videos?

I decided to start vlogging, I've been doing it for several years on myspace, and I figured I'd try something new.
My only problem is I have Windows Movie Maker, and that isn't compatible with Youtube. It is the only software I have to edit my videos at the moment.
I would greatly apperciateny advice.
:D

Additional Details

Ah, I didn't know you had to publish it... That explains a lot. I feel kinda dumb now...

Windows Movie Maker IS compatible with YouTube. I make videos using it and I post them to YouTube.

Once you have made your video all fine and dandy, click the "Publish" button. When it asks you where to publish is to, click "This Computer." Then it will ask you what quality to publish it, check the "Best quality for my computer" or whatever it says. It does the rest of the work for you. Exit out of WMV, go on YouTube, click "Upload," put in your info, and choose your movie from the folder you saved it in. I do it everyday almost.

Ensure the file format is correct before uploading to youtube...

Using windows movie maker -- you have to save it into the proper file format, that is "wmv" file (use the "save movie file" on the menu at the top left) before upload..

The WMV file will be smaller in size but still quite good quality.. so uploading it will be faster.

    --for best editing....

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube"

Honestly, if you'd like to get to where you can make money off of your YouTube videos, you'd would want to invest in a Mac. iMovie, which is part of iLife, is included on all Macs when you buy them! With iMovie, you can even publish directly to YouTube!

Of course, Apple also offers Final Cut Pro which is like iMovie only for those who are serious about film making...above Final Cut Pro, is Final Cut Studio which includes Final Cut Pro and a lot more! Final Cut Pro alone will cost about $500 and Final Cut Studio is about $1,300. Trust me--it's worth it, if you're serious about making videos!

I think, you are just saving the "project" you make and you try to upload this file :D

it is not done like this. you "have to publish" your project and make your project as "wmv" or "mpg" file
