Why won't Sarah Palin agree to do any interviews?

Question

She has cut herself off from doing any interviews whatsoever. Is it because she's scared that she will get asked some tough questions about foreign policy, healthcare,social security etc.

Gosh I wish Tim Russert were still alive, I would love to see him grill her.

I believe she does not want to put anymore of her private life out in the open. I think she needs time to regroup and recover from the slander that has been going on the past couple of weeks. I have to admit that what the media and some of the Democrats have been doing to her is wrong, I do not support Palin but I think that she has been through so much that she does not want to put herself in any comprising situations. I think in time you will hear from her in an interview, and don't forget that Joe Biden and herself will be doing the debate in another week or so, which I think will be another headlining story.

Why should she? Are you taking away her freedom here when you suggest she should talk to the haters? Why did it take Obama 19 months to agree to talk to Bill O'Reily and of all night's the night of John McCain's acceptance speech?

You think you know it all; tell us about all these issues. What do you know about the health issue of Obama's? What do you know about the Foreign Policy of Obama's? What do you know about his leadership for the military? What do you know about his issues on abortion?

Remember, Obama's own words ... "its above my pay grade."

Tim is six feet under, just like the rest of us would be if Obama gets to the White House.

Lack of knowledge besides of lack of experience.
She already declared that she is not knowledgeable about Iraq, and about what is the role of a Vice President. Pretty scary? yes it is.
Republicans are trying to get the votes of the mixed-emotional Democrats who are supporters of Hillary Clinton, but I regard it, from my point of view, as an offense to women's intelligence. The only thing I share with Sarah Palin is a chromosome. I do not share her double-faced values.

It was just announced on the news after tonight's convention that Mrs. Palin will be sent home to get her things in order and see her son off.
She will be flown home with many books to read on the plane and while she's home. She has to learn all of Senator McCain's positions so she can speak to them correctly, and they want to educate her on all the issues both domestic and foreign so that she will know what's going on and can speak to that.
The commentator called it the 'education of Sara Palin'....They will bring her back to campaign sometime in the middle to the end of next week.
This I think would explain why she is not taking/allowed any interviews at this time.

Hey - nine weeks and counting, Palin's teleprompter went out last night and she continued the speech because she had it memorized. That is more than anyone can say about B. Hussein Obama's addiction to the teleprompter BOOB.

Sarah Palin hasn't even been on the "job" for a week yet. Give her some time and she will give interviews.

I wouldn't if I were her - they've already decided to spead tabloid trash about her family all over the internet and the television, why the hell would she agree to be interviewed by them when they don't even give her the least bit of respect?

Tim Russert, actually, is probably the only person I would expect to be fair to her in the mainstream media, because he always has been to both parties. It is too bad that all MSNBC has to offer now are trolls like Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann

why won't obama admit to his gay affair or do any town hall meetings? is HE scared of tough questions on foreing policy, healthcare, social security, and his gay affair, etc.
obama likes to take credit for things he had nothing to do with. how do you think all this healthcare for free is going to be paid for? he wants affirmative action for everyone. hence, jacking the taxes up on everyone.

The problem is she doesn't believe that they will ask her questions about foreign policy, health care, and other issues. All they're going to ask her about is her pregnant daughter. She doesn't want to repeat herself 75 time until Hurricane Ike pushes the issue out of the headlines.

My only guess is that with all the stuff that's being dug up about her political career in Alska, the McCain Camp doesn't want those scandals getting too much exposure.

Are you serious? Her nomination has just been confirmed. Interviews take time to schedule. You only make yourself sound loony posting a question like this. I can GUARANTEE she will do interviews, and she will come out of them better than Obama or Biden.

Same reason Obama took EIGHT MONTHS to do O'Reilly. Same reason Obama agreed to, then chose not to do, town hall meetings with McCain. She needs some prep time, only it won't take her more than a 1/2 year to be READY.
