Yes, she is.
Sarah Palin doesn't believe in evolution and thinks that creationism should be taught in every classroom. She has said she does not believe in global warming and wants to take polar bears off the endangered species list because she assumes that they are fine because the polar ice caps are, in her mind, not melting.
She is currently under investigation for abuse of power after trying to get her sisters ex husband fired after a bad divorce.
She was once asked if she was angered by the addition of "under god" to the pledge of allegiance and her response was "if its good enough for the founding fathers, its good enough for me", which might seem like a decent answer until you realize that the pledge of allegiance was written by a socialist named Bellamy about 100 years after the founding fathers founded anything and it wasn't until the cold war that "under god" was added.
she wants to drill for oil in alaska and stands for the aerial slaughter of wolves and bears in the wild.
prior to her candidacy she announced that she did not think the idea of her being the vice president is realistic.
after her candidacy was announced she announced she didn't know what a vice president does from day to day and also didn't know what john mccains stance on the war was because, as she said, she doesn't pay attention to iraq. (keep in mind her own son is being sent to iraq this september)

if she isn't an idiot, then neither is george w bush for leading us into a criminally unjust war and neither is john mccain for horribly misrepresenting the middle class americans that make up the majority of this country. republicans should be ashamed for ruining this great country. vote obama.

Yes, I just have to say a couple of things. First she has said something that i dont agree with. and i think if you say something you should be able to sign you name on it. When russia attacked that country during the olypics she said that she would attack russia if they decied to do something like

Yes, Palin and McBush are both idiots. The choice of Palin is at best comical, but also extremely frightening. Haven't the last 8 years of Bush been enough for Americans? Have we not suffered enough through the worst President in history? Do we really need more of this? Get a grip people!

Palin is an idiot. The interview with Katy C. from CBS should be required watching by all Americans. One scarey lady who knows nothing about federal government, nothing about foreign affairs and is too pre-occupied about screwing her ex-brother in law. If McBush gets elected, I'm out of here!!!!!!

yes. she definitely is.

She is demented idiot with a really big mouth. She likes to trophy hunt and wear the skins of wolves. Areal hunting is morally reprehensible.

The woman is brave and has nerves of steel. She may get her courage from her faith the same as I do. Yet, we are so different. I am sane. She's not!

This woman would be the biggest mistake ever for our country. In her interview with Katie Couric she said she would make it illegal for a woman to get an abortion even if it means a woman who has gotten raped or molested cannot end the pregnancy even if she was raped by her own father!

There's absolutely no doubt that she's an idiot. Latest proof; she is not sure whether or not people who bomb abortion clinics are terrorists.

And, excuse me but George Bush at least stood his ground and didn't do whatever he was told like Barack Obama. He never went around the world apologizing to everyone making our country look weak and not to mention vulnerable to attacks. Our country was much safer with Bush as president.

wow. yes these things may be true, but i think you guys are overlooking the fact that she has a lot more experience than our sitting President Barack Obama. Her approval rating in Alaska has always been very high, and the only reason a lot of people dislike her is because the media.

Oh, and the polar bear population has grown. Do some research, people. And stay away from the dumb box.

No, Sarah Palin is not an idiot. No one should ever ask a question like that because a bunch of uninformed self-proclaimed liberals will just attack.

She is second only to Muammar al-Gaddafi. Anyone who listened to his idiotic, rambling and incoherent speech today could not possibly disagree. Well, maybe they could. They'd say he is second only to her.

I agree but I think Nader wouldn't been better than both of them.

Go to your imaginary hell, the person who says polar bear population has grown.
As if human population is under perfect control.
Stupid idiots.
If you wanna solve population growth problems, solve yours first. Stop having babies like baby-making machines.

    YES.
Not that we're ignoring the obvious, mummy should really have gotten around to the birds & the bees chat with her daughter
Or stressed the importance of safe sex & endorsing the use of a condom, thus protecting herself from STDs

But since You asked I can keep my gob shut no longer.
    So here goes
In the UK, bristol is a slang word for tit.
That's Not a blue or a great tit, a type of bird
    but a womans breast
Americans do have a strange habit of taking UK slang & using them for christian names.
    Take Corey, for instance.
In Cornwall ( a county of the UK ) a corey is a Cornish word for a horses penis.
Anyway every time I hear the name corey I can't help but laugh, now bristol has taken center stage, it's hilarious!

Perhaps McCain picked her because now she doesn't have to talk about the issues, but instead about members of her family. No one knows her recommendations on The Iraq War because she probably doesn't know them herself.

She's so great that nobody can give any substantive criticism, so they have to criticize her children instead. That is much easier.

It's unthinkable. It's like a high school prom contest to elect the 'heartbeat-away' next President of the United States. It's unthinkable so many Neocons lap it up; so unthinkable how vociferously they defend the choice made by one man in apparently an impulsive maverick-moment decision. What's next? We attack countries that didn't attack us. Meanwhile, the real villains and real problems get little attention. We not only get an unreal VP nomination; it's a surreal nomination! Politics=Entertainment=Pablum=StatusQuo. Thank God there's an alternative option posed! We can get off the dime we've been on and start addressing our real problems. If, and only IF, enough people still care about Reality. Reality check anyone? (Obama-Biden provide that gateway back to soluable problems in a Real world.)

She is an IDIOT who encourages aerial hunting of wolves and bears. If you want to see what this is all about please go to Defenders of Wildlife and see the video of some more idiots taking part in this barbaric "sport." See: http://actionfund.defenders.org/palinvideo I am not voting for Obama either, as he is also full of hot air. I am writing in my vote once I decide who is actually qualified to be president.

In the context of the job she may assume...

    YES!

She has left this country twice!! Total!! Within the last 2 years!!

I prefer my national leaders to have global experience. People need to understand that just because they may relate to the candidate because her children play hockey or she was on the PTA, this hardly qualifies the woman for a role depending heavily on international relations and a well-rounded world view.

She is an insult for common sense!

Taking Palin 4 VP is no more then cheap marketing trick. She is a product of marketing researchers who underestimate IQ of the voters. Looking from the other side of the ocean, for me it's very obvious that McCain's campaign is all about marketing tricks. No real program, no debate about fundamental issues; just few phrases here and there, lots of attacks on the opposite side, and that's it.
I just hope you people see it to!
    Good luck;)

I'm not sure if "idiot" is the right word or not. Maybe if your asking if she is a good choice for a ranking PTA official or evil cub scout den mother, then my answer would be YES! She would be awesome for any of those roles.

Um, otherwise, I'm just not sure. I think that her connections to the oil industry make me nervous and her speech last night makes me think that she may need to go to charm school before letting her out to speak with foreign diplomats and the like. I can also tell you that this election will not just decide the country's next president. It will also determine my personal level of faith held in my fellow Americans.

Sarah Palin believes that God is encouraging us in the Iraq War. Why would God do that - maybe Satan is encouraging us. I disagree. Her son joined the Army and will be deploying to Iraq. Why would he do that? Her underage daughter is pregnant? Let's see now - she says she is college educated - well, what about getting your own children college educated? Where is the role modeling? Her son may or may not come home from Iraq, but if he does there is a very good chance he will be back with PTSD. Does she care? And, pregnant daughter - does she have the parenting skills to raise this child? Grandmother dearest instead will be off busily doing her VP thang. What about the special needs baby? Who will raise that child? Apparently not Sarah Palin - so far it looks like Mommy/Grandma dearest comes first and has thrown all the kiddies under the wheels of the oil tanker trucks. Yes, Sarah Palin gets my vote as our National Idiot..

yes. And M is an idiot for choosing her. Creationism, abstinence only sex ed, Iraq War as a task from God, and she thinks the founding fathers wrote the Pledge of Allegiance. Perhaps she also believes the world is flat.

Yes. She was the first female Republican VP nominee. Instead of being uplifting and unifying at her historic moment, she gave a mean, sarcastic, narrow-minded speech. The speech reminded me of the current administration's inability to consider any view other than their own. She has only proven she can read and follow a speech written by writers before she was even selected. Hardly a maverick, basically she's just along for the ride. In her other politcal roles, she fired anyone she couldn't get along with. Not the bipartisan theme John McCain was trying to put forth.

Hmmmmmm, let me think: right wing bully; no executive experience (running a town with fewer residents than my high school had students and a state with fewer people than a large US city is not impressive); bachelors degree after attending 6 colleges (boy, communications must be a really tough major!); seeking to prevent safe sex education for children while publicly proclaiming pride because her 17-year old pregnant daughter intends to marry a 19-year old high school drop-out; denying human impact on global warming; having absolutely no foreign policy credibility in an era where global policy decisions will determine the future of our country...given the above, I'm thinking SHE's not the idiot. Undoubtedly, she can read one heck of a speech from a teleprompter! But wait, isn't that what sportscasters are supposed to do? After eight years of incompetence on the world stage, it is stunning that Palin could be considered a credible VP candidate.
