How much does a Shiba Inu cost?

i want to get a Shiba inu pup. but im not sure on the cost.

    I have a 2 year old Shiba Inu that I bought for $1k. You can get cheaper ones online but I would not advise it. Even under the best of breeding circumstances, the Shiba Inu temperament is already a big challenge.

    Also, consider that the initial cost of getting the dog is nothing compared to the maintenance cost e.g. vet bills, toys, food, training classes, training equipment, grooming equipment, etc. Initial vaccine shots could cost you from $500-$1000 just in the first few months.

    One thing you can consider is to volunteer some of your time at your local SPCA or shelter. That way you get to spend time with some really nice dogs, without any extra cost to you, and you also get to do something really good for some dogs in need. You can also get to know the dog people in your neighborhood and volunteer to feed, water, and/or walk their dogs.

    I love my Shiba Inu and he has a "BIG" personality but he is a real challenge to take care of especially in the first year. He is extremely independent and stubborn. Here are some Shiba Inu traits:
