Manga/Anime fans reading comics

for the last few years (OK decade) sales of comic books (at least the ones made in America) have been going down due to not reaching teens and young adults.

while manga has being growing among teens and young adults.

I've noticed some people working in comics try to figure out what they are doing wrong about reaching new people.

so I'm going to do something that they should have done, ask you what do you find appealing in manga/anime that you can't find in American comics.

and what can creators do to appeal to you?

So, basically what luckybabe and siarra are trying to tell you is they're completely clueless to the fact that not all American comics are about superheroes.

Everyone has also perfectly illustrated the point that many manga readers either do not know how to type correctly, or don't care to.

it not really a matter of mangas being better bbut that ever once in a while u need a new breeze mangas are more racy show more voilence and other stuff then american comic books plus must mangas have there own spin off series on tv helping boost there popularity so i say asvertise more make some new heros that peolpe will wont to wacht fight and want them to win and STOP messing with the classics the origanal spiderman was a nerdy smart guy try to balance school work home girls and saveing the city on a dailly based but the spiderman triology made him a crybaby and they barely put any effort in the third movie

to sum up new badass cool heroes and villians same classic heros

For its always the same kinda thing in the american ones while for manga there way differnet. LIke there is so much more to choose from from vampires to highschool , ninjas or pirates . You have way more options to find something you like.

    In my opinion:

Manga usually has a better art style and storyline

The American comics all seem to be the same, dealing with super heroes and what not =/

So, the people need to come up with something new!

First of all, American heros are cool as hell! However, they get over used to the point where I can't understand which "universe" is which! I mean, there's The Amazing Spider-Man, The Spetacular Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man, The Web of Spider-Man, and soo much more! I don't know what comic line to follow up on! Not only that, if Spider-Man issue 112 ends you have to pick up Iron Man issue 225 in order to see what happends next!
Also, there isn't any action going on in DC or Marvel comics, sure you'll see a punch here and a kick there, but that's about it. It's more about dialect and stuff like that.

Manga however, is easy to follow. It starts, it has a middle, then after many years, it ends. Simple as that. You'll never see, Ultimate Dragon Ball Z, or a remake of Saint Seiya or Sailor Moon. Once a manga ends, it ends. Also, manga moves at a fast paste! By which I mean, there's more action going on in the story than talking about clues and stuff like that. That's why I like manga a little bit better than DC or Marvel.

If DC or Marvel just made Batman or Spider-Man with out any alternate universe or side stories, I would gladly but the comics. I could go on and on, but I would just bore you to death though...
