Add an ingredient to a basic peanut butter & jelly sandwich - 10 pts. best answer?

I'm bored with usual pb&j sandwich. What would you do to change up the recipe some? Here are the rules:

1. Must include peanut butter, jelly, and bread
2. Can add only one major ingredient to the sandwich (more spices are okay though)

Tell why your version is better than typical pb&j sandwich. Good luck and thanks!

Grape Nuts cereal. Adds some crunch, nutrition and diversity.

Add sliced bananas. Also, try to grill the sandwich, it is awesome.

add maple syrup to the pb. and mix them, then spread the pb and syrup mixture on the bread and use jelly it's good without jelly also

mmmm ... have you ever tried just a regular peanut butter and jelly sandwich fried? that's right, i said fried! it's pretty good ... hmmm ... also if you add bananas ... makes it even better!

I agree with the first two, bananas. Peanut butter and banana is also good made in a skillet like grilled cheese.

Toast the bread for a change...or add honey or marshmallow fluff to the sandwich. Or mix in a little cinnamon with the peanut butter for more flavor.

i would say bananas too, but make sure they are ripe and not still greenish.
bananas are yummy with the pb and they go with jelly
put it in between

Potato chips.

Sounds gross, but the salty/sweet combination is good! And the extra crunch is a bonus.

(Potato chips are also delicious in tuna sandwiches.)

I was sick and couldn't get out of bed, so my grandson made me breakfast. A grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a slice of american cheese in the middle. Different, but not bad at all.
