Does anybody know what "2009 A true story" is about?

I'm completely clueless, all I know is this girl lives in California and so on..
I saw a video on youtube and it looked cool.

I don't even know if it's a movie or a tv series..or whatever.

Anyone wanna help?

"2009: A True Story" is a fictional cautionary tale set in America in 2009. It appears on YouTube in 15 segments, all roughly 4-7 minutes each.

It opens with a cataclysmic (possibly nuclear) explosion at LAX airport in Los Angeles, the first of 3 massive explosions in that city. The Army and National Guard move in. Rapidly, it becomes clear that the U.S. Government is responsible for these "attacks", and is using them as an excuse to impose Martial Law and a complete suspension of the Constitution. The results of the 2008 November elections are postponed for 6 months to deal with the "domestic terrorism". As the story progresses, we see "HSN" (The Homeland Security Network) taking control of the airwaves, broadcasting official, government-approved statements. Occasionally, transmissions from "SkyNews", a fictional television station located in Moscow are shown depicting what foreign countries are seeing occur within the United States: a gradual dissolution of democracy into a military dictatorship. Patriotism is used as a means of controlling the American populace as evidenced by the repetitive use of the phrase, "Keep The Dream Alive, America!" In the end, Iran is scapegoated for America's domestic turmoil, and America declares war on Iran stating that it will no longer permit tyrannical states to possess "Weapons of Mass Annihilation" (the irony here, of course, is that the entire series began with the detonation of such a weapon by the newly tyrannical United States Government on its own people in Los Angeles).

It is set as a constant countdown: Episode 1 is entitled "85 Days Remaining". A number of finalities occur on the 85th day, which I would rather leave you to discover yourself than tell you here.

2009: A True Story is - in essence - a warning. A warning to stay vigilant as liberties are removed in the name of national security. 2009: A True Story is as visionary as George Orwell's "1984" was when it was released. "No way can such things happen in a democracy" the critics cried, yet some of Orwell's "prophecies" have, indeed, come true.

It may seem strange, but the movie appears to be directed at those who do *NOT* understand it. It is they that the writers are most concerned about should such a series of events ever take place.
