Will there ever be a time when poverty, hunger, and disease are 100% stamped out?

No, that is very unlikely. However, the number of people suffering can vary a lot. Experts estimate that at the turn of the century 1/2 of Americans lived in poverty, in the 1930's is was 1/3 by the 1960's it was a 1/4 and now it is about 1/5. Millions of people have better lives because of these changes. The same can happen on a smaller scale with a food pantry or immunization clinic making a big impact on a community.

Probably not 100% but we've made great strides globally and nationally - our national progress is masked by the fact that poor people keep coming here from other countries.

People who blame society for poor people are the ones who think it can be stamped out. Poor is a lifestyle. There is a big difference between broke and poor, think about that. Even Jesus says there will always be poor people.

There may be a time when the rich and poor may not be so spread, but there will always be poor. Everyone, sadly, will never be equal. With the way science is working there is hope for an end to hunger and disease, but it might be at a price.

It is a twin rock that goes side by side. I agree with you that the poor will always be there just like the rich. Let us just allow the poor to say i am rich and the rich say i am poor. It is a balance of nature.

Maybe the poor and those without have figured out that if you have lots of things...it's mostly luck.

Maybe they would like to have some of that luck...as well!.

The economy says no. People just don't care enough, at the end of the day. Disease certainly will never be wiped out; for every disease we find a cure for, another will readily adapt.

No because we need this for progress, If there is no poor people complaining or revolting(French peasant during the French Revolution) no progress will be made. New technology is made to make these problems less harmful. If there weren't any hunger in the world people would of not join communities to help the needy. So the world will be selfish and would not help each other like nnow people are helping each other.
