I've sorted out which books i would like to do but really can't think of any books to compare them with.
The magic toyshop- angela carter
our mutual friend- charles dickens
North and south- Elizabeth gaskell
Brighton rock- graham Greene
empire of the sun- jg ballard
Lolita
its a lot to ask but please any recommendations are welcome. if you don't have any for the list above can you recommend any two books that i should read and could do my essay on. Thanks!!!

Brighton rock- graham Greene can go with crime and punishment because they both deal with sin and morality. that's all I got, sorry.
