Do i need to carry calculator in CFA level I exam?If yes then what kind of calculator i should buy?

First of all you definitely need a calculator. This is not optional if you wish to pass. However, they only allow 2 types of calculators. First is the HP12C, second the TI BA2. You will not be allowed ANY other type of calculator. You can not bring a cheaper one or a 4 function one. I used the BA2 plus and like it. If you plan on passing level 1 you don't have to use the BA2, but which ever one you choose, be prepared to start a love affair. You will not be able to pass unless you know virtually everything the calculator can do. The cirriculum and the instruction manual for the calculator will teach you everything you need to know.
