Baby Shower Invitation Wording?

Question

My friend is planning a Diapers & Wipes party. How would you word the invitations so everyone will bring the following, but yet they are welcome to buy off the registery also? She doesnt want to sound rude by telling them what to bring, but just want them to know the theme of the shower.

Honestly, even if you call it that, people are going to bring whatever they want and it probably won't be from the registry. "diapers and wipes" party sounds good though - funny! are you doing a diaper cake?

I would just stick to a regular shower and just register...why would you want diapers and wipes when there are so many other things you'll need...diapers and wipes are the cheap stuff.

word it somehow to say that for every package of diapers or wipes someone brings, they'll be entered into a raffle prize....or something. then include where they are registred. leaves it up to the person, but people will get the point.

the heading should say "diaper and wipes theme party" and place a registry card with the invites!

I would put on the invitation, it's a Diapers and Wipes party! or else just say that diapers and wipes would be appriciated.

this is kinda a hard one. is she having this for u? or is a co-ed shower? im doing a co-ed shower and i did a saying at the top and i said girls bring your man a co-ed shower is in hand and i said for guys to bring diapers and wipes and im including a ting where im registered at.

You could just do regular wording on the invitation--who, when, where, etc.--and at the bottom say, "So&So is registered at _____" and register for lots of diapers and wipes...or think of a cute rhyme or something.

"So&So soon will face lots of late nights,
Let's shower her now with diapers and wipes."

(Something like that.)

Call it a Diapers & Wipes party. Put pictures of diapers and wipes on the invitations. Include info about the registry so people could buy off of that if they want. Honestly people are going to buy what they want. Some will bring diapers and wipes, some will buy off of the registry, and some will buy something completely different. I love the registry but some people don't like it and will not buy off of it.

On the invitations have her write that it is a theme party and what the theme is. Like after the whens and where's on the invite add: theme: diapers and wipes. Also, write that the following items are greatly appreciated: and of course, list your registry. This way, your guests know what you would like, but have the options to think about what they actually bring you. Hope this helps!

my friend is having a regular baby shower and on the invitaition, they put, if you bring a bottle of detergent or diapers, you will be entered into a gift basket drawing. you could put that. her invitation says:
It's a boy!
please join us for a baby shower in honor of
her name

So she wants them to buy off the registry and bring diapers and wipes. Why not have the guests pay for college while she is at it.
