You don't, that's why they are called unerasable.

when you put it in your CD writer right click on the drive and select format, it will make it appear blank but you will not be able to write over the area that is already been written to once.

Microwave it for 10 seconds. It looks carzy as well. It will destroy any info on the disc and will not cause harm to your microwave.
