In Seinfeld, Jerry said he wanted to return something for spite, what does it mean?

''for spite'' means ''for no reason'' or what?

For spite means doing something to anger or annoy another person because you dislike them. Jerry wanted to return the jacket because he didn't like the salesperson who sold it to him, and he did not want them to receive commission on the item.
