What common household things can I spray or sprinkle on edible plants to get rid of bugs?

I have a couple of basil plants and I don't know what is doing it, it's getting ate faster than they are growing.
oooo I'm irritated too. lol

I was told to put a little dish washing fluid in plain old water, and put it in a spray bottle, and spray liberally. This is what I used on all of my plants.

we use mouth wash, it works well

i think soap water works
if u just spray on the plant

Plain ol' rubbing alcohol. Spray on bugs. Thats it.

Get them off with your fingers or spray with diluted washing up liquid in water.
