For a 1200 calorie diet, how many grams of Fat, Carbs, Fiber & Protein to make a balanced diet?

I am 5'4, 31 year old woman trying to loose 30-40 pounds. I am eating about 6 times a day, small meals, and exercising regularly. I am looking to build muscle and loose fat. I don't have any other health concerns.

I eat a low calorie diet too. I was amazed yesterday when by lunch I had already eaten 750. So read the calories on the box. Shoot for 40% carbs, 40% protein, 20% fats (you can replace fats with fruits for fiber). You won't get your RDA of those on a 1200 calorie diet though. Try mostly carbs in the morning (e.i Cheerios plain with 2% milk or 1%, skim) then a 2 egg omlette (12g protein) or somthing with meat. At dinner make your portion small since, if you have a family dinner, you can't always make it the healthiest. Eating 6 times a day increases your metabolism. 30-40 pounds on JUST a low caloie diet will take about 2-4 months depedning on your metabolism and activity level. It won't come next week, so you gotta stick woth it. Add a short workout to your diet for greater results (a walk, jog, some light wieght lifting, etc). Good Luck!
