Who do you think would make the best Vice President for Barack Obama?

I'm sure a hundred people have asked this question, but I'm really curious.

I, personally, think that Hillary would be a terrible choice. My vote is for Strickland or Richardson, with several other people who don't seem to be bad choices.

I also think that the most amusing choice for VP would be Bill Clinton.

Opinions, anyone?

I agree that Hillary would be a very bad choice. I would go with Richardson or Jim Webb. Maybe Kathleen Sebelius, Governor of Kansas, or Con. Wexler from Florida.

I agree, Richardson is a great choice, Edwards would have been great, Even Biden or Webb, but Hillary would definitely be a terrible choice for him now.

She just has a different mentality, it's like a lot of one time republicans such as "Anne Coulter" being one of them, shift towards her as their candidate.

They would clearly not shift towards Obama obviously for "certain" issues, from pins to his middle name to his skin color and etc.

I do hope Obama picks a great vp candidate and succeeds.

He fills in alot of the gaps Obama has. The blue collar workers like him, he's a southern Democrat, he's been in Politics longer but isn't as beholden to the PACs as most of the others are, and he'd be a good candidate in 2016!

ok so I live in Florida and I voted for Hillary if he does not chose Hillary I will not vote and so a lot of people won't neither. Giving the Republicans a better chance. Hillary would be the most intelligent choice.

I couldn't care less who he picks, because I won't vote for him regardless of who it is. So his choice doesn't matter to me.

I would hope either Jim Webb, John Edwards, Wesley Clarke, or Bill Richardson!
I might also want Sen. Bill Nelson of Florida, but, I don't think he would take it because he's a Hillary supporter.

I think Obama needs to pick someone that is well know, older, and is very respected, but I also feel that Hillary has earned the VP spot. It was a close race

Bill isn't allowed because he couldn't take over should something happen to Obama.

Strickland is a viable choice as the governor of Ohio (a state that Hillary won)

Richardson may bring more Hispanics on board, but that could backfire as racist because there's no whites on the ticket. I think this would be a bad choice.

I keep mentioning Jay Rockefeller, but nobody else seems to agree with me. He is a ranking committee member of the Armed Forces Committee and would have a lot of insight into foreign affairs where Obama's presumed weakness is.

He is also a loved Senator for West Virginia, another state that Hillary won largely, and this could help him. I'm not sure if Rockefeller is seeking the nomination, though.

Maybe Secretary of State at least?

His platform is based on changing the status quo in Washington, so Hillary wouldn't fill that bill.

Unfortunately, in my humble opinion, if he doesn't choose Hillary and garner her millions of supporters, he will lose in the presidential election.
You must remember, all of Hillary's democratic votes were against Obama. Just the inevitable write-ins for Hillary would trip the scales in McCain's favor.

I agree that Hillary wouldn't be the best choice as far as a VP goes. However, I hope that she does get the VP nomination, because I think it's the only way the democrats will get in office. I would rather have Hillary as VP than McCain as president.

Some might think Jeremiah Wright. However, Wright is not real popular in the Obama camp right now. He's kind of a persona non grata now. It seems that Obama has thrown him under the bus after a few too many controversial remarks. Right now the short list includes- Hugo Chavez, Robert Mugabe, and Ahmenijad.

OJ Simpson is willing but I think he is too good for Barack. Might have many of his supporters wanting to reverse the ticket.
