Why does Netflix's "Watch Instantly" selection suck so badly?

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the gesture on their part, but just browse through the new additions. I haven't seen such a sorry lot of movies since I looked through Blockbuster's $3.99 bin. What gives?

They put most of their new releases on disk to rent. ONly a few makes it to the instant when they first come out (like the orphanage and Pan's Labrynith) However, if blockbuster did start offering instant play, netflix would offer more films that you like

Its by your judgement that the instant selection sucks. I like it because they have a lots of films I would have never hear of else where.
