This is my list for summer reading. I have to pick 1 of the books to read. Any comments on the list of books above? Which book/books did you enjoy?

Don't read the Merchant of Venice. Go and see it performed instead. That's what Shakespeare would have wanted!

"The Handmaid's Tale" is about a dystopia (which the characters believe is a utopia, but isn't that always the case? :-)). Atwood always leaves you with much to think about. Not light reading, but it's not difficult. Heavy on feminism.

"Love in the Time of Cholera" is a classic. A deep read that's fascinating on many levels.

"Saturday" I've read it twice so far. It's not as "heavy" as the other two, and it involves a relatively normal family. The characters are most fascinating! You can look into it only as deeply as you want.

It's only 9 books and most aren't long. Read 'em all!

I've only read one of those books, the things they carried.
I'm not sure if you would like it because it all depends on your interests, although, i thought it was a very good book. it was really sad for me to read because it's about the realities of war.
if you're not too scared to read about death and terrible things happening to good people, you should definately read it!!!!

I love Meg Cabot and Sophie Kinsella's books. I am in the process of reading Emily Giffin's books. They are all great authors!


For I teen I recommend Meg Cabot's young adult books. She is the best author. She has adult books too, so you can grow with her. www.megcabot.com
