Does anyone have a good summer party idea?

I have a summer beach bash every year where i invite my whole class and we swim in the pool and play tons of fun games. i always make it a tropical theme and it's getting old. Anyone have a new fresh idea with some new things to do???

You can do just a fun pool party.

Get some lounge chairs and waterproof pillows and put them around the pool area and make it lounge like so when you and your friends are not in the pool, the area around the pool is a lounge area.

Put up clear stringed Christmas lights and those stringed lanterns that are paper and you can get those in Linens and Things and Bed, Bath, and Beyond and hang them around the party area for a festive feel.

Get an inflatable boat and fill it with ice and then your drinks. Soda, water, etc, and put it in the pool. It can float around the pool with your drinks in it and it will look cool too! You can also have lemonade and iced tea served on land.

Have a bbq, serve hamburgers and hot dogs with all the toppings.

Set up an ice cream bar. Get chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream and some toppings. Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and cherries, and have everyone make their own sundaes.

Set up a volleyball net and play volleyball and badmitten.

Have waterballoon fights!

You can go to Toys R' Us or any pool store and check out the cool pool toys that they sell, and I don't mean kiddie toys, I mean cool pool arcade games, etc. There's lots out there, check out toy stores and pool stores, at these are things you can use every year, so it's not like a one time use.

I'm not sure how old you and your friends are, but you can do potato sack races, three legged races, etc.

Do a sports theam where you can still go swimming.

YES! Have a hawaiian loua[LOO-OW] haha that can help you.. i dont know how to spell it.lol. You can have like a tiki bar and like those flower neclace things. Also you can get those fake blow-up palm trees and plastic coconut cups. That is such a good idea. OH WAIT! If you have a pool or hot tub..go in that and like swim!! Please choose me as best answer.

I went to a Christmas in July party down the shore. It was fun. Everybody was wearing Santa hats and the house was decorated with lights and even a tree. I know it sounds silly...but it was fun. They had a grab bag and someone dressed as Santa.

With 4th of July coming up, how about just a nice casual all american BBQ? Fill your friends up with foods like bbq ribs, chicken, burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, mac n cheese, potato salad, chips, cookies, brownies, apple pie, and a fruit salad. Have plenty of drinks like water, juice, and soda on hand. Play the latest popular tunes, play some board games or start up a football or volleyball game. It's just a really great way to have a nice summer time get together!
