I have a iron man action figure from 1993 and its in the box mint condition and it is one of the first 10 that

was released to the public first.

ok.. my brother got in my room and cut the top of the box with sciccors its like a 1.5 inch cut. the figure is not ruined and the plastic around it is not harmed. just the cardboard above with the picture. but it is not notice able.

would this bring the item cost down alot? i mean the figure was worth well over 100 dollars but idk how much it is now.

The value of the figure has probably dropped. It sounds silly, but a lot of collectors never remove their figures from the original packaging, so they are picky about dents, creases, cuts and tears. If you are thuctinking of selling this figure on an auction site like eBay, be sure to be very descriptive of the damage to the card in your item description. I sell toys from time to time and I always do well, even with ones in damaged packaging, I think because I try to be very honest about the condition.
