How is Applicant Tree different from NotchUp?

Both of these sites have very similar ideas. How would you choose between them?

When NotchUp first premiered I thought it was a joke. I mean, who would pay to interview people, right? Turns out, that typically people do pay employment agencies to send over people for jobs. And they pay a lot. Sometimes as much as 10% of that job’s yearly salary. Think about that, if the job pays $50,000 a year then that employment agency pockets $5000! So, when you look at the numbers that employers have to pay to get candidates, both NotchUp and Applicant Tree offer a significant discount.

I’ve actually done reading on both sites. They are very similar but I have read a lot of complaints about NotchUp that they won’t let a lot of people on the site. They’re only looking for executive level people. Applicant Tree seems a lot more democratic and deals in all levels of employment.

I think the main difference is the cost. Businesses are more inclined to use Applicant Tree because it’s cheaper, which means I’ll have a better chance of getting a job which is the whole point.

The fact that the amount companies pay for Applicant Tree’s services is significantly less than NotchUp means that more people, in a broader range, will benefit. That’s the biggest difference. Sure, you as the job seeeker may get less, but you’ll also get more interest and eventually land a better job.

I don’t know about you but I’m not an executive but I still need a job and I think the majority of job seekers are in this same boat. I don’t have a lot of experience so Applicant Tree is the way to go for me.

There is obviously something wrong with this site, the domain registration deliberately conceals who owns it and it was only registered in February. It appears to be linked with internetsolutionscorp.com who have been linked with dubious employment offers.

You should not do business with a company that conceals its identity in this way, and you should also research internetsolutionscorp.com to find out their background before giving any personal information (the BBB has a file).

This answer will most likely get marked down because many of the people who have answered here ALWAYS answer for questions on Internet Solutions Corporation and are most likely employees. Check the answering history of people talking up this company very carefully.
