I failed an intermediate French college course. Now what?

Im a sophomore in college, never failed a class in my life, and I somehow managed to fail Level 2 french (required). I admit that I didnt attend class like I should. I wasnt very responsible with attendance but I did do my homework and study for exams. Somehow I always managed to do poorly on quizzes and exams... mainly grammer trouble. Anyway, I am a Professional Writing and Editing Major with a concentration in Web Communications. I work for my university designing webpages and I am the copy editor at the school newspaper. With that said, do you believe that future employers will reject me for employment because of failing a forgien language course, despite my 'experience' that I am gaining through internships and receiving high grades in my concentrated area?

Additional Details

No need to be a smart ***. I've never failed a course before and thus I am pretty upset. Spelling is the last thing on my mind right now. This is yahoo answers, not a job application.

It depends what school you go too.
Where I go, you get to have an appointment with a conselor, they comprehend what you are going trough. Remember there are many others.
I would suggest that you retake the class during the summer so it could boost your GPA back up.

    ABSOLUTELY NOT.

The crude fact of the matter remains that practically every accredited university requires some courses in the foreign languages.

I personally completed my requirement with 4 semesters of German.

Employers are well aware of such requirements, (provided they are college educated) and in my experience, seek nothing aside from strong focus in your area of depth.

Considering the fact that you are only a Sophomore, I would recommend that you not let such an issue trouble you. Maintain your area of focus and you shall be alright.

    Regards, Quick

I don't think they'll pass you up because you failed a "foreign" language but they might pass you up because you misspelled an English word. What word is that? Grammar, you spelled it "grammer".
