hey some answers please.... i know a convert who said his christian mother was upset when he became muslim from being an atheist.

Fisher, what would killing your child achieve? Is apostasy punishable by death with Southern Baptists or is this a rule you're making youself? :s

On behalf of my Christian brothers and sisters, I'd better say that I don't think Fisher is even a Christian from looking through her questions... seems more like a troll...

Muslim because then I have a foundation to work on in order to bring them back to the one, true, Catholic Church.

As a devoted Southern Baptist, and more importantly, as a disciple of Christ, I would rather kill my own child (as Abraham was willing to do) than see him convert to either Islam or Atheism.

Now before answering this remember that the Quran advocates death for apostates of Islam, 5 modern Islamic states have the death penalty on their statute books for apostasy and 30% of British Muslims polled think it is right to execute apostates. So converting to Islam could be a death penalty.

And Fisher has proved that Christians are all too willing to execute even their own children for disagreeing with them.

Which makes atheism the only rational - even half decent - choice.

It makes no difference!! Christians are totally intolerant of non Christians and will persecute both equally!!

I'd rather my child be an atheist than a Christian. That way, he wouldn't be living a lie.

I would want my child to be happy. I cannont force my child to believe like me. They should choose a religion that they want.

Fisher, what in the world is wrong with you? Seriously, someone report that woman to Yahoo! and have them report her to Social Services or the police. People like that need to have their kids taken away.

On topic, though, if I were Christian I would rather my child be a good person, regardless of religious beliefs.
